About LAG Walkthroughs

Who is the Lonely Achievement God and why is he here? A man of mystery, silently sliding through video game achievements like a hot knife through butter.

Nah, I’m just Bonkekook. That’s it. A man with way too much free time and the desire to make guides.

In 2020, I got over 550,000 GamerScore. Over November and December, when I realized I had a shot to be the top earner in the US, and potentially the World, for the year, I went after it hard. I got over 100,000 in each of the 2 months to round out the year. And as I did so, I played a LOT of games. Some of which had walkthroughs. Some didn’t. Some had walkthroughs that were terrible. Some had walkthroughs that were text guides when video would’ve been better, or were video guides when text would’ve been better. Some had various achievement solutions but no walkthrough bringing the solutions together. Some didn’t even have achievement solutions. And then I played a few games that I discovered strategies for that no one else had found. And that’s when the itch struck.

20 years ago, I used to moderate forums on a website named GameTalk. As far as I know, GameTalk no longer exists and hasn’t for years, but its creator had individual forums for every game that came out and would assign people to moderate them. I moderated the Xbox vs Gamecube forum for a while, but I also moderated the Super Mario 64 DS forum. That was the game I remember the most when it comes to writing guides. I wrote walkthroughs for all 150 stars and the entire game that were posted in the forums. And I was proud of it. It was clear, concise, and was useful to everyone who used the forum. And achievement hunting struck that itch again.

So here I am. The Lonely Achievement God. Ready to help as many as I can get achievements. That’s my goal.

I will be expanding avenues all over the place. I hope to set up a Patreon, or something similar, to allow donations. I always felt bad using walkthroughs, even now, that were super useful but had no option to actually reward the creator. I grew up on $20 Prima guides, and in reality, within a month, the Internet would have a walkthrough just as good that someone created for free. I’m not asking for you to pay me; but I am hoping that my guides will serve you well enough that you’ll want to, by watching, reading, sharing, donating, etc.

Have fun, guys and gals. We’re all gamers.
